Afterparti is a fresh-thinking, architecture-infused collective with an event-and-zine series of the same name. Borne out of the New Architecture Writers (N.A.W.) programme, we explore big ideas about contemporary urban space through the lenses of identity and race. Each zine is twinned with a preceding public event and becomes a printed platform for reflective writing, imagining and extending the afterlife of the original debate. Our first zine Afterparti Issue 00: The Time for Failure is Now was published in spring 2019. Afterparti believes in the power of writing and live debate as a tool for necessary criticism in an age that values the digital over the analogue and the transitory over the permanent. We recognise our position as a diverse collective and echo this in the contributors we platform in our ongoing campaign for spatial equity.

The rest of our new site is still in development, but check out our instagram or twitter in the meantime to see what we’ve been up to. Or if there’s something you’d like to collaborate with us on, please email us.
